If you have tried CFL lamps and are not happy with them but don’t want to go with expensive LED lamps to save electrical cost why not try Halogen Incandescents? Halogen incandescent lamps use a halogen gas filled envelope to reduce the amount of energy needed to give a light output similar to a higher wattage incandescent. The use of a halogen envelope also extends the life of the lamp filament by up to two times that of a standard incandescent.
Halogen incandescents are also dimmable with a standard incandescent dimmer wheras most CFL lamps and many LED lamps are not.
