You’re Montana based or willing to relocate to Montana.

You have a clean driving record. Travel to and from work sites, in our vehicles, may be necessary. You should be comfortable driving in Montana, and a clean driving record is required.

You’re reliable and honest. Come heck or high water, we keep the promises that we make, and we are looking for individuals who hold themselves to the same high standards. The little things are important such as showing up to work when it’s a beautiful powder day, but more often it means treating others the way you expect to be treated. Simple? Sure it is. Always easy? Nope.

You pride yourself on attention to detail. As a Montana Experienced Electrical Project Manager we don’t (or at least we shouldn’t) need to tell you that the details really do matter.

With most projects as a Montana Experienced Electrical Project Manager  you’ll be primarily working in small project teams surrounded by other contractors, interior designers and architects who are also integral to the success of that building project.

With this in mind, you should enjoy and be able to work with minimal supervision and be able to report back on the progress and status of the jobs at regular intervals.

Things a Montana Experienced Electrical Project Manager Might Do

The candidates for a Montana Experienced Electrical Project Manager Position will work under general supervision of Owner and direct coordination with Estimators the Montana

Experienced Electrical Project Manager must be able to:

  • Effectively manage the Journeymen and Apprentices by assessing and assigning them to jobs that are best suited to their skill set.
  • Order and organize material according to job.
  • Understand and interpret Montana building codes.
  • Coordinate job schedules and manpower allocation.
  • Be able to communicate with general contractors, other Project Managers customers, suppliers, employees and others in a professional business manner.
  • Create a production schedule for individual projects.
  • Run reports for material and man power necessity for individual projects.
  • Procure material quotes from vendors that accurately describes a project’s needs.
  • Maintain a safe jobsite and safety records for employees as well as other construction workers and civilians.
  • Prepares reports and analyses indicating work progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions for customer and/or Owner
  • Be familiar with estimating software and/or proficient in ConEst estimating software
  • Complete administrative work related to your projects including the tracking of materials and completion of billing forms
  • Be accountable for coordinating and tracking changes to the job and materials ordered.

While the majority of our work surrounds the Bozeman, Montana community, we do occasionally perform work on a wide variety projects throughout the region including Wyoming, Idaho and the Dakotas.

The majority of our projects consist of:

  • Government and community buildings (think courthouses, libraries and federal buildings)
  • Commercial spaces (retail stores, restaurants and professional offices)
  • High-end residential (usually 5,000+ sq. ft. homes in resort towns and mountainous terrain)
  • Residential and multi-family (most often new construction homes and larger-scale condominium and townhome developments)
  • Site lighting both new install and energy retro fits

The Whole Project Manager Package 

You must be willing to work from our home-base in Bozeman, Montana. If you’re the right fit for our company, we are happy to help with some relocation costs.

Our work is primarily in the Gallatin Valley area that surrounds Bozeman, Montana. On occasion we occasionally travel to perform work throughout Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and the Dakotas. When travel is required a Montana Experienced Electrical Project Managers will be paid a per-diem and lodging is provided and paid for by Tyler Electric

As a Montana Experienced Electrical Project Manager we realize you have put a lot of time and effort into honing your skills. As such we are open to discussing compensation based on those skills. In addition to excellent pay we offer a compensation package that includes:
An evaluation is performed within 30 days of hiring, once we’ve both had the privilege of getting to know one another
Health insurance. We provide a 50% match for health insurance that includes both dental and vision.
Life insurance is paid 100% by Tyler Electric.
Paid time off begins accruing 60 days after being on the job.
A company vehicle is provided for on the job travel.
Cell phones are integral to allowing employees to communicate effectively. A cell phone and plan is provided.
